• Genesis 1:3… “Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light”
  (Similar in verses 6-7, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26-28)
• God’s revelation in creation connected with God’s revelation in Scripture
  (Psalm 19:1-11; 119:89-91)
• “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

God’s Word Always Comes True

1. Regardless of how long it has been since it was spoken
   • Promise of blessing to Abraham (Genesis 12:7)…
     • Fulfilled as many as 700 years later (Joshua 21:43-45)
   • Warning of judgment if Jericho rebuilt (Joshua 6:26-27)…
     • Fulfilled more than 500 years later (1 Kings 16:34)
2. Regardless of how unlikely it seems it will come true
   • Severe famine led to undesirable food having exorbitant prices, but
     tomorrow good food will come at reasonable prices (2 Kings 6:24-7:20)
3. Regardless of what we do to keep it from happening
   • King Ahab made an effort to prevent Micaiah’s words from coming true
     (1 Kings 22)

God’s Word Always Comes True

1. Regardless of how long it has been since it was spoken
2. Regardless of how unlikely it seems it will come true
3. Regardless of what we do to keep it from happening
