Destructive Ignorance

HOSEA 4:6

“My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your
God,
I also will forget your children.”

  • The destruction of the world in Noah’s day (Genesis 6:5)

  • The problems in the lives of the Patriarchs because of their sins
  • The 40 years of rebellion in the wilderness
  • The period of the judges where every man did what was
    right in his own eyes (Judges 17:6, 21:25)
  • The bad leadership of so many of the kings (particularly
    in the northern kingdom of Israel)

  • The priests (Leviticus 10:11; Malachi 2:6-7)
  • Fathers (Ephesians 6:4)
